Ramanujan College Hosts a Successful Annual Internship and Job Fair, Uniting Talent with Opportunities

The Placement and Career Development Cell of Ramanujan College successfully organized the fifth edition of their Annual Internship and Job Fair, on March 15, 2024 within the college premise. The event sought to be a pivotal moment for students and employers alike, fostering connections and creating pathways for career advancement. The Internship and Job Fair underscores Ramanujan College’s long-standing commitment to providing holistic education and to empower its students and others to thrive in their chosen fields and make meaningful contributions to society.

The fair attracted a diverse array of participants, students and graduates alike, from various institutions in Delhi-NCR who were eager to explore internship and employment opportunities. More than 3000 students pre-registered for the fair with more than _______ participating on the day to engage with prospective employers. With great enthusiasm, the participants not only showcased their talent to the companies but also interacted directly with recruiters, gaining invaluable insights into the professional landscape and establishing crucial connections for their future careers.

An eclectic selection of companies spanning various industries participated in the event. The participant companies ranged from start-ups like Rekonversation Academia, to renowned players such as Zomato, Tech Mahindra, Genpact, Chegg, DeltaX, Physicswallah, MyGST Refund, Fund TQ, to mention a few. Overall 40 companies participated in online and offline mode, of which, 18 offered internships and 28 provided placement opportunities. In total, the recruitment process was conducted for 45+ internship profiles and 64 full-time positions. Further, the organisations offered an assortment of profiles including but not limited to investment banking associate, research analyst, AI evaluators, counsellor associate, finance and accounts associate,project co-ordinator, video editor, graphic designer, digital marketing, HR and marketing intern,content writer, data analysis, community intern, event organiser etc. The highest CTC for placements and stipend for internships offered at the fair was Rs 12 lakh p.a. and Rs 15,000 respectively.

For a seamless execution of the event, participants were required to first register online for Aarambh 5.0. The participants were then required registered themselves for the specific company profiles individually through the company-wise QR codes released on the Instagram page of the Placement and Career Development Cell and on the respective whatsapp groups of the participants to ensure best utilisation of the time of the candidates at the fair. On-spot registrations were also undertaken from the candidates for the event as well as the companies. They were then directed towards the respective waiting rooms allotted to each company. As regards companies, individual recruitment processes were facilitated by the Cell simultaneously in various rooms. These included conducting group-discussions, assessment tests (online and offline), group and personal interviews. The resounding success of the event can be gleamed from the fact that nearly _________ students were shortlisted/selected at the job/internship fair with the highest package of __________.

Nearly 70 students from Ramanujan College volunteered for the event and were allocated specific roles interfacing the students as well as the participant organizations for seamless execution of the event. Their responsibilities encompassed assisting students with company wise registrations, coordinating recruitment process schedules along with the back-end work of reaching out to prospective pool of companies and candidates and making preparations weeks before the actual event. These volunteers played a crucial role in ensuring that participants received comprehensive support throughout the event, offering expertise in navigating the intricacies of the job market and enhancing the overall experience for all involved stakeholders.
