RamanuGen, the esteemed mathematics society of Ramanujan College, University of Delhi, orchestrated a series of intellectually stimulating and engaging events during the academic year 2025–2026, aimed at fostering analytical thinking, strategic reasoning, and academic enthusiasm among students.
One of the highlights of the year was Curioso 2025, an online mathematics quiz conducted through the society’s official Instagram platform. The event witnessed participation from 32 enthusiastic participants, who actively engaged in solving thoughtfully curated questions designed to test logical reasoning and mathematical aptitude. The interactive format of the event ensured sustained engagement while successfully promoting interest in mathematical sciences in a competitive yet accessible manner.
Further strengthening its academic initiatives, the Department organized an expert lecture titled “Mathematics: Every Man’s Land” on 27 March 2026, delivered by Prof. Suresh M. Hegde from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. Conducted in Lab G03 on the occasion of Pi Day, the session aimed at making mathematics more inclusive and relatable. The lecture offered valuable insights into the universality and applicability of mathematics, leaving students inspired and intellectually enriched.
The society’s flagship event, iOTA 4.0, held on 24th March, stood as a testament to RamanuGen’s commitment to experiential learning. The event comprised multiple competitions, most notably Money Miner and Wazir. Money Miner, a team-based strategic event, required participants to make calculated financial and logical decisions across various rounds, simulating real-world problem-solving scenarios. Meanwhile, Wazir, an individual chess competition, participants showcasing exceptional levels of strategic thinking, patience, and tactical acumen.
Through these diverse initiatives, RamanuGen continues to uphold its vision of promoting mathematical excellence, intellectual curiosity, and holistic student development
EVENTS ORGANIZED (1 April 2025– 31 March 2026)
1. Orientation Programme
Date: 27 September 2025
The academic session commenced with an Orientation Programme held on 27th September 2025, organized by RamanuGen. The session aimed to introduce newly admitted students to the society’s vision, objectives, and planned initiatives for the year. It provided an overview of the academic environment, opportunities in the field of mathematics, and the importance of analytical and problem-solving skills in various career paths. The programme also featured an interactive segment where faculty members engaged with students, addressing their queries and offering guidance regarding academic growth and participation in co-curricular activities. The session successfully created a welcoming and motivating atmosphere, encouraging students to actively engage with the society and make the most of the opportunities offered throughout the year.
2. Curioso
Date: 10th October 2025 - 25th November 2025
Curioso 2025 was an engaging online mathematics quiz organized by RamanuGen from 10th October 2025 to 25th November 2025 through the society’s official Instagram platform. The event was designed to foster interest in mathematical sciences while providing a competitive yet accessible space for students to test their analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The quiz featured a series of thoughtfully curated questions spanning various areas of mathematics, encouraging participants to apply logic, reasoning, and conceptual understanding. The event witnessed the active participation of 32 students, who enthusiastically engaged with the questions and competed throughout the event. By combining a digital platform with an interactive quiz format, Curioso 2025 successfully created an intellectually stimulating environment, promoting curiosity and enthusiasm for mathematics among participants.
3.Community Outreach Programme (PATHSHALA Collaboration)
Dates: 10–11 November 2025
The RamanuGen Society undertook a Community Outreach Programme in collaboration with PATHSHALA on 10th and 11th November 2025, conducted in a slum area near Govindpuri. This two-day initiative aimed at spreading basic mathematical knowledge among underprivileged students from pre-primary to Class 8th. Society members actively participated in the programme and engaged students through interactive teaching methods. The sessions focused on simplifying fundamental mathematical concepts and encouraging curiosity through problem-solving activities. The initiative proved to be both impactful and enriching, as it not only enhanced the learning experience of young students but also instilled a sense of social responsibility and community engagement among the volunteers.
4. Pi Day Speaker Session

On the occasion of Pi Day, an expert lecture titled “Mathematics: Every Man’s Land” was organized on 27th March 2026 by the Department of Mathematics, Ramanujan College. The session was conducted in Lab G03 and was delivered by Prof. Suresh M. Hegde from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. The lecture aimed to present mathematics as an inclusive and universally relevant discipline, highlighting its applications in everyday life and across diverse fields. Prof. Hegde shared valuable insights that encouraged students to appreciate mathematics beyond theoretical concepts and view it as an accessible and engaging subject. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and proved to be highly insightful, fostering curiosity and a deeper understanding of the significance of mathematics in both academic and real-world contexts.
5. iOTA 4.0
Date: 24 March 2026
IOTA 4.0, the flagship event of RamanuGen, was conducted on 24th March, bringing together students from diverse backgrounds to participate in a series of intellectually stimulating and competitive events. Designed to test analytical thinking, strategic decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, the event served as a dynamic platform for experiential learning beyond the classroom.
a) Money miner
Among the key highlights was Money Miner, a team-based competition that witnessed participation from 33 teams. The event required participants to navigate through multiple rounds involving financial decision-making, logical reasoning, and resource management. It challenged teams to think critically, adapt to changing scenarios, and formulate effective strategies, thereby simulating real-world problem-solving situations in an engaging format.
b) Wazir (Chess Competition)
Another major event under IOTA 4.0 was Wazir, an individual chess competition that saw participation from 76 participants. The competition featured intense matches characterized by strategic depth, patience, and tactical expertise, providing participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their planning and decision-making skills in a highly competitive environment.
6. Annual Convocation and Alumni Meet
The Annual Convocation and Alumni Meet, held on 29th March 2026, marked a significant occasion for Ramanujan College as it brought together graduating students, alumni, and faculty members to celebrate academic achievements and institutional milestones. Although organized at the college level, the event contributed meaningfully to the overall academic environment and community spirit. The Alumni Meet, held alongside, provided a valuable platform for interaction between former and current students, fostering connections, mentorship opportunities, and a sense of belonging within the institution. The event concluded on a celebratory note, strengthening the bond between the college and its alumni network while inspiring current students through shared experiences and success stories.
MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING (MOUs) SIGNED
During the academic year 2025–2026, RamanuGen, actively expanded its academic footprint by establishing a wide network of collaborations and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with various societies and organizations across the University of Delhi and beyond. These partnerships were aimed at fostering interdisciplinary learning, encouraging knowledge exchange, and creating opportunities for students to engage in diverse academic and co-curricular initiatives.
In total, the society successfully established 35 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) across multiple domains. This includes 12 collaborations with Mathematics societies, 6 with Commerce societies, 7 with Computer Science societies, 3 with Entrepreneurship Cells (E-Cells), 2 with Enactus units, 2 with Statistics departments, and 1 each with societies from History, Marketing, and Economics disciplines.
These collaborations facilitated the organization of joint events, competitions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions, thereby enriching the academic exposure of students. The MOUs also played a crucial role in promoting interdisciplinary engagement, enabling students to explore diverse fields beyond mathematics Through these strategic alliances, RamanuGen continues to strengthen its position within the academic ecosystem, fostering a dynamic, collaborative, and intellectually stimulating environment that contributes to the holistic development of students.
MEDIA PARTNERSHIP
In addition to academic collaborations, RamanuGen also engaged in media partnerships with DU Family, DU Fest, and DU Fest Gram, enhancing the visibility and outreach of its events. These collaborations played a significant role in effective promotion, ensuring wider participation and engagement across the student community.

- Archana Kumari (2nd Year): Secured 3rd position in Inter-Department Volleyball and received a certificate and medal on Sports Day.
- Garima Negi (2nd Year): Interned at StudifySuccess Pvt. Ltd. (Operations & Digital Marketing), Freax (Communication & Engagement Intern), Gyanbodhi Welfare Foundation (Mentor), Suvidha Foundation (HR Intern), and Social Parindee (Social Media Management Intern). Appeared for JEE (78%) and cleared the first stage of ISI exam.
- Tanisha Sharma (3rd Year): Interned as a Founder’s Office Analyst at Ekarth Ventures Pvt. Ltd. Appeared for SSC CHSL.
- Sparsh Swarankar (3rd Year): Volunteered as Tech Head for Yuva’s annual event “Vimarsh” (Nov 2025), managing technical operations and event coordination.
- Kanak Bansal (3rd Year): Interned at Pavilions and Interiors and contributed to Saras Aajeevika Mela 2025, receiving a participation certificate.
- Sefali Singh (3rd Year): Interned in Data Science at Corizo. Secured 3rd position in Inter-Department Volleyball and Deadlift competitions. Participated in a Blood Donation Camp and a national seminar organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
- Lakshay Bansal (1st Year): Interned at InternsElite as a Stock Market Intern. Cleared ACET (Institute of Actuaries of India) and is pursuing Actuarial Statistics. Also appeared for IPMAT 2025.
- Shaurya Bhardwaj (1st Year): Secured 2nd position in “Battle of the Bands” (music competition) at TERI School of Advanced Studies.
- Naresh (4th Year): Worked as a Doubt Solver on the Arise platform. Qualified SSC CGL (Prelims) and secured selection in SSC GD 2025 with AIR 6240, joining CRPF.
- Dhruv Nandwani (4th Year): Interned at NITI Aayog (Data Analyst), Ferns n Petals (Business Development), and Ministry of Home Affairs (Data Analyst). Cleared HSSC CET (66 marks) and AFCAT 01/2026 (126 marks; above cutoff). Invited as a delegate to the Indian Defence Conclave and visited the 8th Battalion of NDRF.
- Anchal (4th Year): Interned under the Delhi CM Internship Program (Administrative Reforms Department), Ferns n Petals (Operations), and Khare Classes (Content Developer). Qualified IIT JAM Mathematics (Rank 2099) and was felicitated by Delhi CM Rekha Gupta.
