Year 2021-22

1. The Department of Management Studies organised an Ice breaking session for all three years of BMS Course on 28th February 2022. The event aimed at providing a platform to interact for all the three year students as college reopened in physical mode after 2 years.
2. The Department of Management Studies of Ramanujan College, Managerix organized a virtual case study competition, Casetantra From 3rd to 5th March 2022.  This event helped the participants to brainstorm their minds with real business problems and enhance their entrepreneurial vision, the ability to understand and analyse the relevant market, and the courage to take unconventional decisions to be successful.

Year 2020-21

1. Karwaan, 2020– On 8th December 2020, The Department of Management Studies of Ramanujan College, Managerix, organised virtual alumni talk, Karwaan, it was the first edition of any such event hosted in our college. The event gave the students a chance to interact with some of the brightest students of the first-ever BMS batch (Class of 2019) who have successfully established themselves as leaders of tomorrow. Student panellists shared their experiences, lessons they learnt on their journey post-Ramanujan College and gave some valuable advice to their juniors. They also talked about the differences in the admission procedure of Indian B-Schools and International B-Schools, and the importance of having an interesting personality when sitting for an interview.
2. FRESHERS’ 2020:  We had virtual freshers this time for our incoming students of BMS Batch 2020-2023.  The Fresher’s party was named “Euphoria 2021” with the theme “Solids, checks, and stripes”. The event was held on January 12, 2021, virtually through MS Teams. The students were firstly welcomed by their seniors, there were some fun games and events planned lined up for them. Even though the first years cannot come to college for an offline freshers’ program but still an online event was much needed to give them a chance to interact with their classmates and seniors.
3. Visit to college by BMS First year students: Department of Management studies organized for its first-year batch 2020-2023 visit to college campus on February 1, 2021 at 11.30 am. A total of 18 students visited college. In order to make students familiar with college, they were given a walk through the campus. The students were made aware about the various facilities in college and were shown library and computer labs. Dr. S.P. Aggarwal, Principal, Ramanujan College asked the students to follow COVID prevention guidelines issued by government.  They were given a campus tour including library, laboratory, canteen etc.

Year 2019-20

1. The Department of Management Studies, Ramanujan College organised a two-day (October 17-18, 2019) Interdisciplinary workshop on “Financial Modelling”. The session of the workshop also comprised of a talk by Mr. Anupam Dixit from BSE Institute Ltd. wherein he gave a brief introduction of BSE Institute Ltd. He along with Ms. Deepankti Sen, faculty Coordinator from BSE Institute Ltd. answered various queries of students related to the Institute. The resource person of workshop was Mr. Arnav Kumar introduced the students to the conceptual understanding and hands-on sessions using real world data.
2. On 8th November 2019 a successful Outreach at Saathi Old Age Home, Rangpuri, Delhi was conducted by Department of Management Studies, Ramanujan College. The members of Managerix – the management society of Ramanujan College along with the department teachers visited the Saathi Old Age Home. Some games and activities were conducted for the elders there which included passing the parcel and tambola.
3. The department of Management Studies organised their fourth edition of the annual management fest- Conduire 2020 on 17th January, 2020. The fest witnessed the presence of Comicstaan Season 1 winner and the distinguished comedian- Nishant Suri. The sky turned pale, sunlight faded out and projector beams lit up, because it was time for DJs and Bands to showcase their musical talent.
4. The Department of Management Studies – Managerix in collaboration with Department of B.A. Programme and Placement Cell organized and put forth its first Internship and Job fair- Aarambh on March 2, 2020 in the college premises. The event saw an impressive footfall of 600+ candidates looking for jobs and internships. Companies that participated were offering diversified profiles ranging from finance, auditing, marketing, sales and content writing, etc.
5. On March 14, 2020, the Department of Management Studies hosted a farewell celebration for the 2020 batch at Ramanujan College’s Ghalib auditorium. Many cultural activities were planned by the juniors and seniors to advance the programme including a ramp walk, in which the students had to walk down the ramp and share a recollection from their college experience, followed by a fun game called “Who am I,” in which they had to impersonate their peers while others tried to determine who they were.  The seniors were given individual name tags and their titles were proclaimed shortly after the game. It was followed by a ‘Improv’ activity, in which seniors were paired and asked to act out a bizarre circumstance.

Year 2018-19

1. The official Fresher’s party of the department, also known as ‘Exuberance’, which was held on 14th August, 2018 in the Ghalib Auditorium, also proved to be an icebreaker where the new batch showcased their talent and thoughts by a series of activities and interactions between the faculty and senior batches. Dr. Surbhika Maheshwari, Assistant Professor, I. P. College for Women, University of Delhi gave valuable tips for better living and handling stress.
2. The third Annual Management Fest (Conduire 2019) was conducted on 7th March, 2019 in the New Building. Several intellectually stimulating and fun cum learning events such as Manager’s Maze 3.0, Marvel-DC Quiz, The IPL Bidding, Trade – O – Thon 2.0, and the Business Quiz were held. Mr. Vartul Mittal, technology and innovation expert, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
3. Outreach programme at D.E.T.A senior secondary schoolK Puram was organized by Managerix on 12th April 2019. Students accompanied by the faculty members visited the school and interacted with primary wing students. They spoke to them about the importance of education and sanitation in the surrounding areas and engaged with the students by having interactive activity such as a drawing &colouring.
4. The first batch (2016 – 19) of BMS, Ramanujan College was given farewell on April 18, 2019 in the Ghalib Auditorium of the college. It was an evening worth remembering with a lot of emotions, mesmerizing memories, fun filled activities, and the final words of wisdom from the faculty members of department to the graduating batch.

Year 2017-18

1. The official Fresher’s party of the Department of Management Studies for the 2017 – 2020 batch was held on September 7, 2017 at the Ghalib Auditorium. Various fun cum team building and ice breaking activities such as Ramp Walk, Introduction round, Intellectual round, Bollywood Vibes, Shoot and Scoof.
2. Ignite, the Business Games, Quiz and Debating Society of the Department organized an activity named “Brand Tambola”on 28th September, 2017 for all the students of Management Studies Department and it witnessed a participation of around 80 students. Brand Tambola was an interactive learning based event where one is given brands/company symbols or names instead of the numbers and is played exactly the same way as the usual game.
3. The second Annual Management Fest (Conduire 2018) was conducted on January 17, 2018 in the College campus. Several intellectually stimulating and fun come learning events. Prof. I. M. Pandey, Director General, Delhi School of Business and Former Dean, IIM Ahmedabad graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Year 2017-16

1. Ignite, the business games, debates and quizzing society, under the Department of Management Studies, successfully executed its first ever event, Influx – The Intra-College Clash, on 21st October, 2016, at the Ghalib Auditorium. The General Quiz and Spectacle – The Ultimate Debate were the two contests organized for the students to showcase their skills.
2. In an attempt to spread the light of knowledge and joy among young minds, the Department of Management Studies, Ramanujan College organized an Outreach program for all the students of D.T.E.A. Senior Secondary School, R.K. Puram Sector IV, New Delhi on 27th January, 2017. The aim of the program was to manage the school for a full day and conduct activities that imparted knowledge and information to the students in an innovative and fun filled manner.
3. The Department of Management Studies in collaboration with the Department of Economics and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) K.A.U.S.H.A.L. Kendra organised the Management and Economics Fest “CONDUIRE” on March 10, 2017 in Ramanujan College premises. It was inaugurated by our Chief Guest for the day, Dr. MadhuVij, Professor at Faculty of Management Studies (FMS).
