Such courses are categorized as follows:
- Discipline-Specific Elective (DSE) Course: Elective course offered by the main discipline/subject of study is referred to as Discipline Specific Elective.
- Dissertation/Project: An elective course designed to acquire special/advanced knowledge, such as supplement study/support study to project work, and a candidate studies such a course on his/ her own with advisory support by a teacher/faculty member is called dissertation/ project.

3. Ability Enhancement (AE) Courses
These courses are of two types:

Answer: Ramanujan College strictly adheres to the UGC and University of Delhi’s guidelines for anti-ragging. The Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted every year, which takes various precautionary measures to prevent ragging on the College campus. It ensures the implementation of all regulations of the UGC about curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions as per the directives of the honorable Supreme Court of India. The names of all the committee members along with their telephone numbers and emails are displayed at noticeable places in the College and on the College website. The complaint boxes are placed in the College at visible and strategic places. Answer: Ramanujan College has been sanctioned Deen Dayal Upadhyay Centre for Knowledge Acquisition and Up-gradation of Skilled Human Abilities and Livelihood (KAUSHAL). Our College is the only institution in the University of Delhi which has been sanctioned this scheme under which the College is offering B. Vocational Courses in Banking Operations and Software Development.
The College has been awarded a Teaching Learning Centre (TLC) under the aegis of the Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT), Ministry of Education (MoE). The Centre runs along the mission, objectives and the guidelines set up by the MHRD and has at its core the idea of facilitating teaching leaning process to the teachers across the country, especially those located in the remote areas of the country. Ramanujan College is the second college of the University of Delhi to be awarded the Teaching Learning Centre (TLC), the most sought-after scheme of the MHRD. The TLC, Ramanujan College works with the aim of “Reaching the Unreached” teachers in terms of regional diversity and geographically remote areas of the country. It has successfully conducted more than 125 learner-centric programmes since October 2017 and trained over one lakh teachers across the country in various discipline specific and interdisciplinary programmes. Ramanujan College is a pioneer in offering offline/online courses for faculty members of higher education institutions and research scholars through the customised Learning Management System (LMS), designed by the college faculty. All the recorded lectures have been uploaded and are freely available on the Ramanujan College’s YouTube Channel, for wider and repeated viewing and learning. The channel already has more than 24,500 subscribers and 85,00,000 views.
