Greetings from Ramanujan College.
Ramanujan College is an institution that is now well known for its commitment towards excellence in every aspect of its institutional life. The college has grown and evolved to become one of the most esteemed and prestigious college of the University of Delhi. In the past few years we have added many new courses and expanded exponentially in infrastructure development, providing for our students higher level teaching-learning experience, more extra-curriculum activities, add-on courses, outreach programs and opportunities for placement.
The mainspring of Ramanujan college is the students whose holistic development and character building is the primary objective of the institution. This is achieved by focusing on the needs of the individual student and providing the best socio-ecological environment according to his/her specific need. The devoted faculty anchors students to perceive their best selves in every given circumstances. The faculty are encouraged to participate in induction and development programs to improve their teaching and mentoring skills. The college endeavours to empower students from all walks of life by using different pedagogical tools, mentor-mentee programs, flip learning, fieldwork, internship programs, social entrepreneurship skills, and placement cell. During this
pandemic, college provided every type of support to its students to overcome the many challenges that were faced.
The Teaching Learning Centre (TLC) of Ramanujan College established in 2017 by the Ministry of Education under Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching is a success story that has trained teachers from all over the country. The programs are held both online and offline mode with the help of college faculty and eminent resource persons. In the past year, in spite of the pandemic we provided an opportunity to teachers across the country by offering them online courses and are proud to claim that we have trained more than 1 lac teachers through more than 100 programmes. The College has now acquired hardware and expertise to store cloud data and will be providing data storage and processing services to institutions across
the country in the near future.
In the coming years the College will extensively focus on the National Education Policy mandated blended learning programmes, skill based education, capacity building of its teachers and students and the non-teaching staff and focus on further strengthening the Information Technology environment of the institution. The spirit of our college resonates with all its staff and students. I hope all of you will spend enriching and the most memorable years of your life in our college and make bonds lasting a lifetime.
